5 Actions to Keep You Moving Forward
“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” –Henry Ford
Our daily routines can make or break us both personally and professionally. The mundane stuff can keep us away from things we really want to be doing. It can be easy to get sidetracked and forget to do the things that are actually important to us. The following are 5 ways to help you stay in the direction you want to go.
- Give yourself extra morning time. This will give you a chance to plan how you want your day to go, the focus you need for a little creative time, or to re-group.
- Stay inspired. Do you have a mentor or someone that is where you’d like to be in your life, or that inspires you? Learn from them… Stay tuned into their ways of thinking and doing things. Take a few minutes each day for this – make it a part of your daily routine.
- Keep learning. Broaden your horizons on a regular basis with information that will help you to grow. There is a wealth of information out there that can result in more opportunities for you.
- Revisit your goals regularly. Goals and outcomes change, so it’s important to stay on top of your vision, which can be broken down into small parts that you can revisit for a few minutes each day to keep them fresh in your mind.
- Use your time well. Spend more time on things that will bring you closer to what you want, and less time on things that don’t.
It’s easy to stay stuck and doing what’s familiar, however, the cost of that is having your results stay the same. Making new choices supports new outcomes. Routines that are in line with your desires will bring you closer to achieving them.
