The New Year is soon upon us, and for those of us that are die-hard self-educated students of life-long learning, like myself (it’s gotten me a lot further than my degree!), the following are some great hand-picked book options for you, to help you to make the most of your 2019.
I’ve personally read Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One and will probably read it again sometime soon, as I’m fascinated by his concept of how each thought equals an action, and also creates changes in the chemicals and patterns in our brain influencing our outcomes – for better or worse. The more we do things differently, the more we change our brain, thus changing our reality. His science-based concepts (written for easy reading) make so much sense, and really resonated with me since the first time I heard about them. He’s one of those teachers that you can’t get enough of!
I’ve personally started making changes in my life and now wonder who this person is that rises at 6 am to meditate… What!? (This coming from someone that used to covet sleep at any cost – and the more the better!) But after doing it for more than three months now, I’m different…happier, more energetic and my brain feels on fire because I feel so inspired and exited about how things are progressing in my life. The ideas are flowing, I have a different perspective on things, and my focus is razor sharp.
I’ve heard a lot about his other hit book, “The Placebo Effect” (in the list below, too), where he gives real-life examples of workshops with people that have physically healed themselves by meditation and the support and energy of their peers… Fascinating stuff. And yes, science-based too.
It’s interesting when you compare Napoleon Hill’s teachings (below as well) with Dr. Joe Dispenza’s, given the huge span of time between them, how strong the law of attraction concepts still hold true. The beauty is that Dr. Dispenza now has the science to back it up. I could go on, but will let you decide for yourself.
